Question New Engine for 2002 Dodge 1500?

Hey I bought a 2002 Dodge 1500 without an engine in it, what type of engine do you think should be the best/have most power for my truck? I'm kinda new to this website so if you could post some different engines that would be great!
Thanks.

yes.. You can put a Hemi in it.. They didn't change anything in the engine bay between 02-03.... But my question is is what motor was originally in it. Because in 02 they only had the v6, 4.7 and the 5.9 which was brought over from the 2nd gens.

you can fit the 5.7 hemi in easily if you get the pcm and all the electronics and transmission (if you want the 5 speed)
you can also fit the 4.7 v8 and the 5.9 v8 and the 3.7 v6
IMO the 5.7 hemi is the best mix of power and MPG
