Lots of threads with lots of opinions on this, and that is just what you are going to get, opinions.

You need to address what options you want in a unit. My advice is to get anything reputable and nothing cheap.

I have a Pioneer AVIC Z1 Navi double DIN HU and you cant talk me out of it.

You mean the OEM remotes on the back of the wheel or the Pioneer remote you can attach t the steering wheel itself (literally)?

You can use the add-on Pioneer remote although it should come with its own flat style remote.

As for using the OEM remotes on the back of the steering wheel, no after market HU will work with those by default. However, there are additional equipment devices that allow you to do so.

Get the high speed version of this. Factory plug-n-play for an 08. Nav, Blutooth, HD, back up cam capable.
