Default Plasti dip vs Truck bed coating?

I need to paint my front bumper since its chrome and dont know what to use. I had my back bumper black and used plasti dip but i had to take it off b/e i think i sprayed too close and it wasnt smooth in all places so i have to do that again this weeken too.. My gut is to go with the plasti dip but all my friends saying use bed coating. I vote for plasti dip. What do you guys think, and if you guys that did your bumper with the dip, post a close up pic of it that would be great. thanks.

I used Plasti-Dip on the gray plastic cladding and rock rails on my Grand Cherokee and was very pleased in the outcome. Also you can't beat the no-prep. I just washed it and sprayed an adhesion promoter on and then went to town with two coats. I have a slight pebble grain finish, but that's because the plastic is pebble grained.

So far, even with mild off-roading and a good bit of dirt and gravel road travel, the rock rails are as they were the day I applied it...

damn I paid $150 to have both bumpers powdercoated....If you know someone who media blasts then I think paint would work well but most people who do that charge a ton...

Id try the plastidip at $6 a can and your not out too much if you dont like it

They sell it at home depot. You can also get other colors other than black online.
