Is this a body computer issues?
I read a post on the Dodge thread about the seat belt alarm. (how to disarm) I did this several months ago and obviously screwed something up!? I now have to wait about 10 seconds after inserting the key into the ignition before getting the truck to start (no chime, not instrument lights, but the radio will come on and the interior fan, as if I have the key in the accessory position) after the 10 second wait the dash lights come on and the ignition works but the abs and brake light stays on after starting. If I turn if off I then can immediately restart and the abs and brake light is no longer on, everything is normal. BUT, when I shut down, remove the key from the ignition and open the door the chime sounds as if the lights might be on or the key is in the ignition, I can not lock the doors until this stops. IF I turn off the ignition and remove the key AND wait 10 seconds or so before opening door, everything works normal?
This happens every time I start up and shut down so I think it is something I did while trying to reprogram the seat belt alarm, others have suggested the ignition may be bad. Any thoughts?
