Do it yourself...It's very very simple. I cant believe they want to charge you that much for just the labor lol. That's ridiculous.

You paid for a cab light installation? Out of curiosity, what did they charge you for that?

As far as a level kit goes, makes a difference whether you have a 4x2 or a 4x4 and whether it's a torsion front or a coil front.

My 2008 was $200 for the install, including the alignment. I thought that was fair. I was in the process of moving at the time, so my tools were packed away. I did not mind paying that. Normally, I would have tackled it myself. Sometimes it is nice to let someone else get dirty! LOL

Yeah I thought it was pretty ridiculous also just because I've heard it isn't the most difficult job. they charged me $100 to install the cab lights, which I thought was alright considering the dealership wanted to charge me $250 just because I have a sun roof also. My truck is 4x4 and I believe it's torsion front.

So has anyone had any problems doing it yourself? I'm just terrified I'm gonna screw something up because I love my truck lol

So your level kit is a set of keys? Sh*t, I'da just cranked the bolts for free, yielding the same results as leveling keys. But keys are about an hour install TOPPS if you have the vehicle on a lift.

I'd say $150ish is more than fair to install a set of keys IF it also includes the necessary alignment.

But hell, you can install a set of keys in the driveway if you have a set of jackstands and a big C-clamp in under an hour a side...
