My 02's is cracking. It's the section with speakers, the part of the dash closet to the windshield. It's cracked in about 3 different places. I was thinking dash mat as well. But if I wanted to replace it, how easy is the old one to remove ?

The one with the speaker one pops out with clips. Take like 5 seconds.

I've seen those. Going to get one for my early '03 before my cracks get worse. D***

I always put my window sunshield up to keep heat out and the sun off my dash. otherwise, the sun cooks the heck outa the dash.

If it's parked, the sunshield goes up. Even if I only plan to be 1 hour, unless ofcourse it's wintertime, then it goes up when I'm home.

"Information for Dodge Ram reimbursement" = $10.00

What? Kind of don't like the fact they're charging for basically information on how you can "possibly" get reimbursed from Dodge regarding our cracked dashes. Not getting a warm fuzzy about that.

My Local Dodge dealer replaced my 1999 ram dash for $100.00 about three years ago. My best friend has a 1999 4X4 Ram with 184,000 miles on it and only paid $100.00 to have his replaced. They told us Dodge knows of the problem and are trying to make good on them as long as you are the first owner of the truck.
Now I also have a 2005. So I hope it dose not happen to that truck.

^^^^^ Guess that would also depend on your dealers cooperation. Mine here would probably laugh at me in my face and then try to sell me another truck.
