Default 07 megacab tire/wheel question

hey all - new to the forum. Just traded my '02 quad cab for a '07 megacab half ton. my question is this:

It needs new rubber...so i'm looking at doing one of two things

- 285/60-18's on the black rock stars

- 305/50-20's on the rock stars.

according to my tire guy both of those are the same (or real close) to the same dimensions as the 265/70-17's that are stock.

I'm not doing a lift...but will turn the torsion bars up a couple inches to level it out. supposedly there is room. with no lift (other than maybe a leveling kit if they won't turn up enough) would the 18's look better than a pretty low profile 20? i can't picture it in my head....there is already a pretty good gap in the wheel well...so i'm wondering if the 20's wouldn't look better or if the 18's would give the illusion of a lift??

thoughts????

I did not think MCs had torsion bars? Thought they had a solid front axle and coils in the front

I would not do rockstars because it seems like everyone has them, but its your money.

285/60-18 are only about 31.5" tall, they will look small on a MC

305/50-20 are only 32", again kinds short for a MC in my opinion.

No torsion bars on the Mega Cab. It is a SFA. Actually it's a 2500 chassis. Only way is lift or level. I've got 34" NTG's on 20's with no lift or level yet. Slight rubbing but I think it's because of the backspacing.

buy coil spacers for your solid front axle because you dont have torsion bars.
i hate 20 inch rims so i would go with a stock 17" wheel setup or the 18's
