Unhappy Air intake Advice

Need advice on weather or not to install a cold air intake system on my 4.7 Ram. I currently have Jet chip installed which does great for take off power and gas mileage. Just wondering if combining the two is worth the cost.

Intakes make it sound SO much better. My buddy has an 03 with just an intake, and it sounds awesome!

but, look into an exhaust as well. In fact, just make your own CAI. Lots of advice on here on a DIY. Then you can have one for cheap.

Thanks. I think I will go the low cost route. I found some low cost CAI on ebay to try out.

Makes a lot of noise, but doesn't do much by itself. Use the search feature and you will find TONS of info.......

I bought one off of ebay and I love it. It's a metal tube and it sounds mean when you get on it. Not sure about the performance advantages though. I recommend building your own. For what a CAI is and does its not worth the cost of the name brands. I am still debating making my own 4 inch homebrew.

use this its better than most ebay ones and has a heat shield, along with the fact its a mopar knock off tube, that works excellent for the price, which is cheap compared to others....

That is a great price for what all it includes. Having a heat shield makes it worth the buy. IMO, OP, you should definitely look into this.

i have this intake and in my 287 crew which is for 4.7l in the club area i highly recommend this setup over buying a more expensive one, unless your gonna make one, then you need to fab a shield....
