Default Thinking about buying..

Hi all,

I test drove a 2007 1500 SLT today with the 5.7 Hemi that I'm thinking about buying. It has 62,000 miles and looks nearly new inside and drives great, but I was wondering if there was anything specific I should look for on these trucks that might not be obvious to someone new to them. Thanks ahead for any input!

$18k, which seems like a steal compared to all the others around town.

Few things.
Spark plugs are due every 30kmi, so make sure they have just been done.
The rear differential, front differential and transfercase fluid are all due at the 60kmi interval so make sure those are done.
Also, the transmission is suppose to be serviced at 60kmi too.

The biggest thing that sticks out like a soar thumb to me is that the original owner likely traded it in for 2 reasons....1. the bumper-bumper warranty was up and 2. the 60kmi service is over $1k at the dealership.

Go right in the owners manual and you will see what the 60kmi Service calls for.

I would not buy a vehicle that i have to spend all that money right away to have serviced. If the Dealer cannot show proof of the service history or that everything above has been done, i would want the cost of those services either knocked off the price or taken care of.
BTW, there are 16spark plugs in that engine. 2 per cylinder.

That's very good to know, thanks a lot man! That never would have occurred to me.
