Default Question regarding selling a ram you still owe money on

I have an 02 ram 1500 im selling. I am asking 6,200 but I owe like 9,000 on it. If I find a buyer thenI will pay the remaining balance so I can free the tittle from the bank; then I would transfer the tittle over to the new owner. BUT all buyers are skeptical because they don't want to fish over cash and not have a tittle in hand. Is there any way around this where both parties can do the transaction worry free? I also don't want the buyer to change their mind after making the purchase during the whole period we are waiting for the tittle to come; it would just complicate things if they "found something wrong" with the car down the line. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

A girl at work just did that. They got the cash from the customer and added the remaining balance to it and sent it to the bank. All while at a notaries Office. The notary issued a Temp title to be used until the main title showed up. and the bank mailed it directly to the new owners.. Call a dealer or notary and inquire what forms are needed This was in Pa. other states may be different.

Im assuming this truck must be in rough shape if you are selling it for less than what you owe (worth)??

dude, i don't think I can get 9,000 for it. The average value on "worthmonkey.com" is 5,400 and kbb is like 6,000 in excellent condition...mine is in good/fair condition.

I've been upside down since I bought my truck. Are you sure you want to sell it? It will take some time to pay that down. Are you close enough to work to bicycle? That would save you some fuel..
