Default Sad Day in America

Last Thursday night my truck was totaled. Sadly by a drunk driver, Truck was parked in front of house, she hit it going about 70 mph. She walked out alive. Rear axle is bent/twisted, side of bed is ripped to shreds, rear bumper done for, driveshaft bent + many more. It is a sad day in America, except I might be getting a 08 ram with a 5.9 cummins

My old Meredes was hit while parked in my buddy's driveway by a drunk lady. Totalled it. I think drinking and driving should be a felony.

It really should be, all the time and effort I put into putting everything together the way I wanted it, gone. Im struggling with the insurance to buy the truck back cuz it still has about 1500$ of tires on it. The sad thing is it was at 330 in the morning + She had two baby seats in the back. Makes you wonder why a mother of two kids would be out drinking on a thursday night.

Since the other person was totally at fault you should be able to get the cost of those tires included, as well as any belongings that were. If not I would sue, it would be an easy win

its one thing if you blow a tiny bit over the limit but if you're so drunk you hit a parked car you should be jailed for a long time. Sucks to hear about your truck, they can give you the money back but never the time spent

Sorry to hear the misfortune but glad no one was hurt. A mom with kids drinking to be drunk on a Thurs night needs some real help.

'08 with a Cummins is the best news of tat story, however, did they still make the 5.9 in 08?

The thought of a new truck after a total sounds great until....... as an example, my 02 is paid for, if totaled, now I'll have a truck note that I didn't want. Remember, insurance companies only pay book on the existing, they don't pay for replacement.
