power question to 08 hemi to 09 hemi
my uncle just got a big job selling cars, and he has an 08 ram, but i really like the looks of the 09 rams better.
my question is what makes the hemi diffrent in the 08 too the 09 that the 09 has more power ?
i like the power my 360 has and it will run on some hemi around town i dunno if i even want to make a switch or not and just continue to build the 5.9 ?
thoughts ?

Supposedly the heads are slightly different????, the intake is slightly different and most of all the cam is VVT and is tuned a little different. 390hp vs 345hp also, the 09+ is suppose to stay in MDS mode for longer than the 06-08's...yuck..
The biggest difference from the 04+ rams compared to yours is the tuning abilities. Superchips has the ability to alter your complete shift schedule for the transmission. Superchips can disable the crappy useless MDS as well.
I won't even touch on your 360 sticking with a Hemi....

17's come with 3:55's and so do some of the 20" wheeled trucks, the other half of the 20's have 3:92's. Couldn't even order anything numerically higher than that. You could order 17's with 3:92's but there aren't many of those on the road as far as i know. I believe the tow package 20" wheeled Rams come with the 3:92's as mine did.
I am unsure of the 09+ gearing possibilities as i haven't researched into that. i'd throw up a thread in the 4th Gen about all that.
What i can tell you is that the stock LSD for the 1500's is a total piece of crap. They are notorious for failing and can ruin your entire rear diff. i would estimate 1 in 20 have their rear diff totally fail and lock up on them that actually have a problem and the other 19 pull out the broken retaining clips on their flush. Those are random numbers btw. 06+ have fewer problems than 05-prior, but still have problems here and there.
