noise is louder at low speed. not as loud at highway speed. recently pulled a 5x10 trailer with motorcycle and noise started then. could it have something to do with how close gear mesh or clearance is? only noisey on acceleration or with gas. how can i tell if too close or too loose of mesh?

 

First, pull the cover and inspect everything and fill back to the correct level. Dont forget the friction modifier for the LSD if you have one. If everything looks good and the level is right then look at the pinion bearing needing to be replaced eventually
