I have had a run of problems with thermostats and test the new ones before installing them as a check point.

Well I did a little more research on boiling temp at my altitude (~4500 feet) and water boils at about 202.5 degrees F. Just so others know, you will see a tiny bit of movement on a good t-stat, but you'll have to look close

 

When i tested mine i really had to watch for it to open, because i live at high elevation and it just hardly moved at boiling up here
