Lift options
Hey guys, it's been a while.
Anyways I'm tired of my truck looking stock. I've saved up some money and found the wheels and tires I want. I'm going to order 17" Dick cepek DC2 and I think I'm going to go with their tire fc2 35x12.5 also. I hope they last. I really like the looks of that tire. I have already added bushwhacker pocket flairs.
The place I'm going to buy the wheels from recommended a rough country 4"- 5" lift. I don't want to go to high because I don't like a big gap in the fender wheel. To me I really like about a 4" lift. I know Rancho makes a 4" kit.
I noticed that the Rancho comes with brake lines and tie rod ends and the other does not. So it will be more expensive since I have to buy shocks also. But I'm leaning towards it now.
Any thoughts on either kit?

Looks good. What's the backspace on those wheels?
I know it's only a 2" lift that is why I like it. The 6" lifts look to high imo for a 35" tire. I just don't care for much wheel well showing.
The plan for me is to, go ahead and order the wheels and tires. See how they fit and if they don't put them in the garage and buy the lift within a week or 2.

Both of those are good lifts, you may end up buying brake lines with the one that doesnt have them.
I went the cheaper route and installed (yesterday) new torsion bar keys and 2" blocks on the back.
Minimal impact to ride quality and I got almost 3" on the front, 2 on the back.
So far I like it, it is the 3rd set of torsion bar keys I have put in a vehicle.
I will probably put 1 inch of body lift and call it quits.
I have my eyes on a set of Firestone Destination mud terains in 315/70/17,
