headers, should I??
for the past year or so i have been so obsessed with my 08 hayabusa and dumpin cash into it for mods, i completely forgot about baby hemi!! Been doin a few mods lately such as recon smoke tail lights and debadging. Performance mods done to the truck are k&n cai, borla cat back, diablosport tuner w/91 octane tune currently. I love the sound of the borla, very mellow and deep, but if u romp on it, has a very aggressive/deep throaty tone. Was considering a set of headers for a throatier sound, what do u guys think. I'm sure performance gains would be pretty noticeable?? Think headers and borla cat back would have a nice mean sound to it
might check out the pacesetter headers. Was installation pretty simple and straight forward? No major issues to be aware of? Installed jba headers on my 96 indy ram truck when i had it, what a pain. Plain and simple installation, but some of the bolts were almost impossible to get to. Haven't looked at the hemi manifolds yet to see if there's any more room to work with. Was thinkin borla headers with my borla cat back would sound pretty sick, but don't think borla makes headers for the hemi's

Talk to SilverBullet08 he just did some PaceSetter Longtube headers and a cam install. For me im going to end up doing the PaceSetter Longtube headers http://www.coolcarpartsonline.com/pa...g-tube-headers and pair it with a PaceSetter Off Road X-pipe also know as cross over pipe http://www.coolcarpartsonline.com/pa...ng-tube-header and then some High flow cats. From what i have head the PaceSetters go one pretty smoothly.
Did the Pacesetters about 4 years ago. Still in great shape. I bought stainless and had a local coating shop do the ceramic coat. Did NOT use the Pacesetter Y as I wanted to retain my cats.
Installation was fairly easy, although some cutting/welding/relocating is necessary to keep the cats.
The one hole not lining up has been an issue from day one, you'd think Pacesetter would have addressed it by now. But it's an easy fix with a drill or dremmel...
