Hey guys. Did some searching for information on inline heaters, and block heaters.

Im up in canada, and lately its been -35c(-31f). I plug my truck in for 12 hours, while im at work( i get free power off generators). But when i fire up the poor girl she still tells me shes cold.

Im wondering if theres an after market block heater, that puts out more watts(heat) or what about those inline hose heaters, and thinking on a oil belly pan heater. for my tranny.

And also if i plug all 3 of these in, can i splice them into 1 plug in cord for simplicity?

I bought this one (600watts) combined with a magnetic oil pan heater. I use it through the extreme January below zero nights.

 

where did you get that? How much power does your magnetic heater have?

 

i found 750m1000 and 1500 watt inline heaters today u think im gunna go with a 1000 watt. for while working. and i saw one of those magnetic pan heaters. and it was 200 watts. so it has some decent power on it.

as far as i could see in town, i didnt see any aftermarket over powered block heaters. online buy i guess??

 

Mopar Supercenter 2 years ago. If you shop around they are priced anywhere from 55 to 75 bucks. Part number Mopar 82208937 for the Hemi. The magnetic heater is 400 watts. It's a pain go under the car in the winter on cold mornings to remove.
I should have gotten one of the pads that you can permanently epoxy to oil pan. They are cheaper in price and spread the heat
more directly and evenly making them more efficient. They come in different wattages.

How warm is your engine going to read with one of those block heaters running? I assume the engine would still rear cold as it wouldnt heat the engine any where near normal op temps but just keep it from freezing together???

Yeah it just take some of the edge off. Supposedly gets engine 50
degrees or so above ambient temperature. I do notice it warms up and blows hot air quicker.
