Default Prestige Fender Flares

I order the 3.25" wide Smooth Prestige flares.............stopped by today and the body guy had the pass. side on......Not to impressed with the overall fit of them. Not sure if i might be able to work with them some. Where the bed side rolls down into the crease and them back out to the bottom side of the bed...........they don't fit well in that crease. To top it all off, they have the black edging stuff on between them and the bed side. I'm not to sure if i like the Black edging..........sticks out like a sore thumb. Anyone had a problem with them not fitting perfect or am i expecting too much? Any ideas? I've read alot of positive things in the past about the prestige flares which is why i chose them. I'll get some pics up as soon as i can. Thanks

Well i will put it out there that my dad had roughly 15 hours into my flares between reworking the edges, prep, body work, prime, painting, and install.

Do you have the prestige? 15 hrs? Thats just rediculous..............even though they are not as pricey as the BW.........for $250, i personally think they should fit better

i just pulled up the receipt and there is no name brand on them. They were $243 shipped. The rivets had to be individually polished, the fit was bad and then after the prep, prime, and paint it was just over 15 hours. My dad does body work for a living and has had cars in shows score 990 points out of 1000 so they just came that crappy, but they look great now.

15 body hours versus 100 more for some better fitting/looking flares seems worth it

Yeah most definelty, they have to line up with the body lines. I ordered mine from 4wheelonline. They looked super nice after they arrived here..........checked them out myself, just never pre-fitted them before taking them to the shop. The body shop said they never really thought anything of it because their usually pretty straight forward. Paint them and put them on. So thats what he did. I've been thinking about it though and maybe a little tweaking them around on my part might line stuff up better. I'll get some pics up as soon as i get the truck back.
