theres no way unless e85 is cheaper down there... right now regular 87 octane with 10% blend is $2.99 a gallon and e85 is $2.49 a gallon that is a 16.72% difference in price that being said i get roughly 14 mpg on the 87 octane with 10% blend and i get 11 mpg on e85 which is a 21.42% change see not worth it BUT if 87 octane 10% blend was $2.99 and e85 was $2.35 it would would be just the same as buying gas at $2.99 a gallon not any cheaper or more expensive just dead on

yea all of that is ASSUMING that I have the same gas prices as you.

Its $2.16 a gallon here right now. Actually the other day I got it for $1.97. 87 octane is $2.97ish here. LADOTD actually owns the station, I guess nobody else was willing to try it. I know that people talk crap about it giving less power, but I got the same mileage towing with that as I did with 87. Crazy.

If I pass the station I get it. Its not enough of a difference to drive 15 miles out of my way to get. Then again, I really shouldnt be using it since it is actually costing us (taxpayer) more than its costing me (at the pump). Fox News (the only one you can watch) was actually talking about due to ethanol and a few other things, we are going to have a food crunch in a year or so. They should start making compact cars more efficient!!!

what blows my mind is e85 is more expensive here than anywhere and not one person uses it and better yet were a corn producing state which would make you think it would be cheaper not only that I-40 runs right through the center of the state making me think it wouldnt cost as much to get here either sounds like my congressman is getting a letter pretty soon
