Im buying a 6'' rough country next month for my 08 1500 4x4 laramie, i have a 2.5 leveling kit and seen a 1500 pic where the truck had a 8.5'' lift and i guessing thats a 6''+2.5''? has anybody done this? is that that much harder or the front end? then just 6''? heres the link, 8.5'' lift and 37's

Lift kits usually level the truck out as well. As in lifting the front 6in and the back 4in. You may have to add lift shackles to the rear so you dont have a reverse rake going on.

 

like Rick said, its going to lift the front about 2" more. And remember, most kits dont give exactly what they claim.

That sure looks like more than 8"

and if i was going to leave the 2.5'' in i would put in a add aleaf or a bigger block in the back, but like i asked before. is it harder on the ifs?

 

is the leveling kit plus the RC kit going to be harder on the IFS? you will have to make sure the kit is compatible with a stacked leveling kit. The company should be able to tell you
