4.7L upgrades

4.7L upgrades
I have a 2002 4.7L 4x2 and right now I'm looking to make my first upgrade, but I'm not sure what to do first.. 4.10 gears? Superchip? CAI? Custom Exhaust? Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions?

Since you have a 2wd, I'd say gears-gears-gears!!! It'll make that 4.7L pretty snotty and give you better mpg's. This is not something you should do yourself either so cost is right about $600ish depending on the place.
I would not waste your money on an expensive CAI as they just don't do a whole lot. I'd reccomend malking your own or just dropping in a high flow filter in the stock box for now.
A new catback won't get you much at all in performance, but the 4.7L's sound pretty mean with them. You could just cut off your muffler and weld on a different one if you wanted to go the cost effective route. You have 2.5" piping I believe.
I'm not sure what you options are as far as tuners go?? There are 2 stickied threads at the toip of the Tech section..Superchips and Diablo, check both of them out or maybe visit their sites to see what 4.7L's they cover.
