Rear Lights
I recently installed Recon lights out back and now my reverse light in one of them is blown. I knew when i put the units in i should have gotten new bulbs but i didn't. Heres my rather dumb question. Whats the best way to remove the whole tail light unit without breaking the two prongs that help hold it in. Reason me asking is while trying to be careful removing my stock units, they were really difficult, almost like they were stuck, and one of the little prongs broke. is there something i'm missing here. Any knowledge on this matter would be great. Josh
After you take the 2 screws out, dont let the light move away from the truck. Keep it against the truck and use even pressure, no jerking, to remove the snaps. I just replaced the tails on my 02 with smoked LEDs. The stockers were a bear, especially since I didnt know which way I should be pulling/prying.
I used bulbs from my stock lights for the reverse lights initially. Then decided to use white LEDs to match the rest of the light, and to prevent some of the accounts I have heard about regular bulbs getting hot and melting the plastic. They came out pretty easy then, and again when I learned that an LED replacement bulb will only work plugged in one direction.

ya don't let the light move in/out up/down or left/right, and just pull straight out of the hole
ya an led reverse will look real good
