I have two siberians. I think they, and me, like to have them in back. Too hairy for my truck.

Very nice Siberian Huskies . I definitely understand you bro, my GSD loose the hair like a crazy but what the hack, why I need any car if I can't take my dog with me?

i always got the fold flat floor I could use with a blanket over the seat if they did ride with me.

I, as you can see in the pictures, made a flat floor (dog bed) and covered the whole back seat so this partially solves the "hair issue"

i love my shop vac!!! I get more sand than dog hair in my truck.

Industrial vac? Nice idea, tried home vac does not really helps . Post pictures when you'll make dog bed
