They are both excellent tires. About the only thing one has over the other is probably longevity. I dunno what compound Mickey Thompson puts in their tires but they seem to last forever. I had a set of MTXs on my 2nd Gen that still had a LOT of tread left at 68k when I traded the truck.

Got a buddy with ATZs on his Cheby 3/4 ton who has 80k+ miles on them.

We got a good 'ol member on here, Bear, who lifted his truck to clear 35" tires but can't seem to get his 33" ATZs to show any wear to the point he can justify pulling them off.

The only negative I can say about Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek tires are they undersize them a good bit. Most manufactures over-state the tire size to some degree, but Mickey/Cepek is really bad about it. My 35" Cepeks barely measure over 34" with 80% of max PSI while sitting on my truck and it holds true over the whole product line. Get the next size up to really have the diameter you want...

i know i will have to level the front for more clearence but im really weary on how weak this i.f.s is on this truck .I know i read about people not having issues but the roads here in the winter are unreal how pathetic they are.

for example we just got almost 3 feet within the last 2 weeks and roads now are solid rutted ice my poor front end is just squeking and now just got my driver front strut clunking ..my next truck will be a 2500
