So I just received my Pop&Lock PL8340, I'm wanting to try something. The way it works, is you tap into the door lock wires going to the door.

I'm thinking about either putting two momentary buttons, or a momentary rocker instead, almost like a trunk release. Something that can be hidden in say a wheel well, or in front of the bed possibly. Just something that can make it usable without the fob.

I'm just wondering what the best way to send a signal is, and if I would need a resistor in the loop say before the switch.

The plan was to run 12v feed to a momentary rocker, then lock/unlock on either side. Anyone have any thoughts?
