bad fuel mileage! need help!
So you'll buy some off-beat chip and consider something that is proven to have no benefit, but you'll pass on something many of us have found to be at least some benefit?
Wishful thinking. A ~15% increase in mileage from using the proper octane ain't happenin'.
as for an "off beat" chip? well maybe but the dodge forums had the damn link to the site! i mean really?
also makes me curious that the only negative things about this chip are also coming from ONE site! not to say the chip isnt bad but it does look suspicious! oh well it wasnt expensive so maybe i try another one!
ok so ill probably send the chip back like 4 days after i get it and tell them to refund my money!
now as far as chips or tuner type products go does anyone have any suggestions that wont deplete my savings account?
hopefully in the $150.00 range?

Superchips is best for an '04 Hemi bar none. Diablo does not support transmission functions on pre-'05s.
Might can find a used 3815 for around that. Just make sure it's been reset to stock before you get it.
But I wouldn't buy a tuner JUST for MPG gains. You'll get a little bump, but it'll still take you a lot of miles to recoup the tuner cost unless you get a steal on a used one.
Just stay the hell away from the ones with claims that are too good to be true and ones that are "bargain priced". Ain't seen one yet that wasn't a scam.
Trucks are just poor on gas, period! A 3/4 ton also has a lot beefier frame and a solid front axle (in 4x4 flavor). I just got back from a fishing trip for specs in Georgia. My buddy pulled his bass boat (my old boat, which I wish I never sold) and got 10.1 mpg with his '07 Cheby 2500 4x4 w/ 6.0 gasser. I pulled the boat back with my truck and got 14.3 by comparison. This was all county roads, very few stop signs or lights and cruising at 55-60 mph...

Here we go again...
Click on the two links in my post #19 in this thread.
I can see these phony "chip" (really a single resistor) selling companies are going to get rich as the price of gas goes up and everybody goes into "panic mode"...
