Looking at swapping out my Nitto Terra Grappler AT's 295-70-17. Wear was not that great and I'm looking at a 315 Yokohama Geolander ATS. Anyone using these and how do they ride/wear on a heavy truck? I do 95% on the road but want a tire that looks good.
Also concerned about fuel mileage of the larger tire as I can barely get 10 mpg now which seems brutal to me (New to Dodge Trucks).

 

The one guy I personally know who had Geolanders complained about wear on his 1/2 ton truck and now owns Terra Grapplers and has gotten more life out of them and still has good tread. So if you weren't happy about the wear of the Terra Grapps, you probably will be down right upset with the Yokohamas.

10 MPG if you are mostly driving around town is about the norm for a Mega gasser. You own the largest, heaviest pickup on the market which should only be offered with a CTD in my opinion.

Heavy truck needs an "E" range tire. I have a good buddy with a diesel dually who raves the Nitto Dura Grappler. He pulls a goose neck all over the country and gets 80k plus out of them. Lot of guys with heavy (7000# plus) trucks around here also like the Mickey Thompson ATZs in an "E" load range tire which is another high mileage tire if you can get past the sticker shock on 'em...
