ok i will when i get my truck back.

to see your heat sat, drive for awhile and then pull over and see if your pipe is hotter than the air temp. if so, its holding onto heat

For telling the heat saturation and absorption on the metal versus plastic (composite, ABS, PVC, ECT) you would need a tuner to read the temps on the IAT sensor and the sensor would have to be far enough at the end of the intake to see the difference.

Maybe I am overlooking something in the pics, but isn't that just new pipe to the original filter box? What good would that do?

it eliminates the hemi hat, which is super resrictive on air flow, this is like getting a airraid mit tube...

Yea it's basically the same thing as the airaid mentioned before. No, it's not a $350.00 CAI but that is also why I nicknamed it the "poormans CAI". I have noticed a considerable difference in the throttle response and seems to have a little bit more power climbing hills, doesn't seem to work as hard.

Gotcha. So, basically its just some pipe (3"?) and elbows and couplings? Hell, even I could handle something like that

it makes a big difference, no one realizes how restrictive the "hat" is, my intake is by no means no big name or high priced, i opted for a mopar knock off, and i love it, it was like $75 shipped...made well havent had any problems with it, yet it is aluminum, i have not noticed any heat saturation with it, and ive pulled readings from my s/c...

Well I switched my intake pipe over to pvc tonight so I wouldn't have any concerns with heat saturation, so I think I should be good to go now. Thanks for the heat saturation tip.
