Default Putting new shocks on the front.

I was wondering how hard it is to change out ur shocks? I really really dont want to pay someone to do it. No need to spend the extra 200 bucks if not needed. Thanks in advance

It isn't as easy as a torsion bar front but changing shocks on a coil-over front truck isn't that bad. Common tools, although a spring compressor would make life a bit easier...

This is my 1st truck in about 8 years. So im a little "truck" dumb now. I have had the truck ago a month now and it ride a little rough. Also it is still under factory warranty do that cover shocks?? 2008 34000 miles.

Shocks should be covered under the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper. I blew one hunting off-road when mine was just over a year old and they replaced it, no questions asked. '08s are also notorious for tie rod ends, so it could be that as well.

Obviously shocks are not covered under the extended power train warranty...

Yea I also have started to get some rather bad wear on my inner part of both of my front tires. Cupping and wearing quickly. I will be taking it in 1st thing sat.

If I were a betting man, I'd say the shocks are fine and you've got tie rod end and/or ball joint issues. Maybe even alignment, but it'll get re-aligned anyway if they touch the tie rods or ball joints...

The only reason im thinking the shocks is that i have extreme bounce in the front end. Would the tie rods cause that?? Im truck dumb so i really have no clue.
