Default Tire size question

I need a little help. I have a 2006 3500 4x4 Cummins and was wondering if i should go with 285/70/17 or maybe the 305/65/17. Will I run into any problems putting either of these on my truck and are there and pros or cons to either size.

Thanks for the feedback
Phil

You wont have any issues fitting either so I guess the question is what is the difference in cost and tire and which do you want. Does fuel mileage matter?

Well considering u have the 3500 and its 4x4...you shouldn't have a problem with either of those sizes fitting. The 2500 and 3500 trucks sit higher than a 1500 for obvious reasons...just don't get Mickey Thompons...I've heard from numerous people that they don't last too long if you are going to use em for everyday driving rather than off road...go with some BFs or Nittos...those are good dependable tires...
