Talking New Tires..Need YOUR opinion.

So I'm ready for new tires finally. I have 2" level on my 1500 with the stock tires. I'm want to get 35x12.5x20's. I basically drive highway and the drive on the beach during summer. So looking for an All terrain the big question is what brand tire to I get. I up between, General Grabbers, Nitto Terra Grapplers, BF's AT's or any other suggestions would be great

There are lots of tires threads here on the site and even a polled thread in our FAQs. Be sure to read those and get some more insight.

Ive got ATs but mine are Pirellis.

Personally I've never had good luck with BFG tires and I've had two sets. Not that they are on your short list, but I've had terrible luck with Goodyears too for that matter.

I have never owned a set of Generals, but I know quite a few people who do and I've never heard a negative from any of them.

I also know a lot of guys with Terra Grapplers, have a set of them on my Grand Cherokee daily driver myself. I wanted Mickey Thompson ATZs (which if you've been around more than a week, you'd know I am a HUGE fan of Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepek tires), but the Nittos were over $75 PER TIRE cheaper and the budget just couldn't handle $300 more for the set.
So far, the Terra Grapps have been great. Quiet on the road and probably about the best wet traction tire on pavement that I've ever owned. Good trail tire too, as long as you don't get into any deep slop.
I doubt I'll see the 70-80k miles that ATZs are know to get, but so far, with about 22k miles on them they are showing only very slight signs of wear. Tough to beat this tire for the money...

Had the bfg's at's. did great until i quit rotating them as often. my brother still has good tread life on his and he drives a cumins, but then again he keeps his rotated and doesn't drive as aggressively as I do. The bfg's wore out in about 52,000 miles. I know have goodyear wrangler duratracs. So far so good. hope this helps.

There for a while seemed like everyone was talking about the Cooper Zeon LTZ. I have done quite a bit of rsearching on the Cooper and really haven't come up with much negativity.

i would say hankook dynapro. great price, minimal road noise, aggressive tread design, and should last as long as bfg i believe...this is what i'm looking at..and they are also lighter than the bfg's as well
