More gear questions...
haha...well would it be a good idea for me to run 4.10 or 4.56...i drive my truck but every other day since im a firefighter...but other than that i usally take a 300 mile round trip at least once a month to see my parents
i'll say 4.56... the 4.10's are good too, but if you're going to do it you would quickly ask yourself "if 4.10's did this, what would 4.56's do?"..
it's actually helped my mileage.. even though i'm at a higher rpm- that rpm is under much less engine load- which equates to better efficiency, and having power instantly available by tapping the throttle- where as a loaded engine will bog before it responds.. not so much when you've got gears easing the load on the engine..
I'm glad I didn't go to 4.88's, but I'm really happy I didn't use 4.10's.. the difference on the highway between the two would be minimal- but down low? you will have all the grunt you need.

Tire ratio play a part but i do agree that the 4.88's can just be a little to much on the highway sometimes. At 70mph i am at 2600rpm but i rarely go over unless i am doing passing bursts.
