JRMRam, I do not work for insignia, the letters are GFS.
sinus19, the cost for the wet sand, buff & wax was $600, but from what I researched that was low. Other shops wanted upwards of $1000 due to size of truck. Now, I had some PDR done and he replaced my trans cooler lines as well, so he made money elsewhere.
It was worth it in my mind for my truck, I needed to get into the surface more than elbow grease and OTC products were capable of.
Man truck looks great. That is a sick beast...$600 is a steal in my opion as i have had mine done also, but my Dad works at a body shop. I have wet sanded and buffed one side of the truck and let me tell you NO THANKS, dang thing just keeps going.
Looks awesome! it takes someone with real skill to do this. However, I would be afraid to do it. Clear hardens with time and the thinness and variance of the clear is a big unknown. All it takes is one rub through, and your clearing the whole panel!
