Is your speedometer correctly calibrated for those size tires. With bigger tires if you did reprogram the chips then you are going faster and farther then you think. Thus you actual mileage would be slightly higher. I would say that stock tire problem get better mileage then bigger tires. But sounds like you don't need to drive that much.
