Default power wire help

Anybody in the Watertown, NY area that is available to assist with a power wire mod or even make the power wire for me. My soldering iron died when i tried to solder something else for a friend.

I can make you one no problem but you can buy a soldering iron at any auto parts store or Walmart or electronics store.

I am horrible at soldering I can barely weld, last time i tried to solder somthing to a diode I burned the diode and my fingers, it wasn't pretty. from the video I saw at the end it says to install on one of the sensor wires, Does it matter which wire its clipped into?

I assume this is my vid you seen? Like i said, I can make one if you need but it would be faster to do it yourself. It doesnt matter which IAT wire you use as long as you only use one

Yes it was your video. Does this mod actually increase the MPG? Because for some reason I am only getting about 10 MPG city and 15 Highway. I have new plugs for the primary 8 or should I replace all 16. The truck has 94K mi. I have replaced the muffler and tomorrow I will install my homemade intake and power wire mod. Changed the oil and filter 2K mi ago and I am not sure about the fuel filter. I have run 2 bottles of B12 through 2 tanks and went overkill with some Lucas Fuel injector cleaner. I plan on cleaning the throttle body tomorrow when I do the intake. I am even running the midgrade gas like the owners manual says to. Do you have any other ideas to get better mileage? The truck does have a snugtop fiberglass shell on the back. It came like that when I bought it.

Replace all 16 plugs. Fuel filter is in the tank and impossible to change without dropping the tank or removing the bed. Not worth it IMO as those filters never really go bad unless you have someone dropping sugar or dirt in your tank. Use non-chlorinated brake cleaner on the TB.

The P/W will not give better MPG. The P/W is a 4.7k resistor that will trick the IAT into thinking the incoming air is 22* less than what it actually is. This makes the PCM add more fuel but in normal driving (closed loop) the front O2 sensors tell the PCM how much fuel to add or take away. At WOT driving (or open loop) the PCM ignores the O2 sensors and thus dumps a little more gas (because it thinks the air is cooler) and therefore you get a little more power at WOT only.

As for other MPG savings or increases, proper gap on plugs, correct tire pressure, CAI, e-fan, maintaining the fuel system with cleaners, TB clean, smaller rims/lighter tires, lowering the truck to the ground, lower gears but also keeping the RPMs down, better quality fuels with no ethanol preferred.
