Default Looking for Leveling kit and Body lift suggestions

I am planning on buying a 2" leveling kit and a 3" body lift kit for my 08 QC ram 1500. I was wondering if there is a specific company to get these from so i don't end up with some poorly made product and regret my purchase. Thanks in advance.

Be sure to check out or FAQs, DIY and How To link at the top of the section or in my signature. We have a ton of info waiting there for you to go over.

With that being said, I have a Performance Accessories 3" BL on mine.

I think my leveling kit is a 2 1/2" ProComp kit from 4wheelparts. I also installed a PA 3" body lift like weed has. The PA kit is highly recomended by most shops. You will be happy with it.

The popular options with the 06+ trucks is the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks or the cheaper option is the spaces like a Hell Bent Steel (HBS) or top gun customz spacer.

for body lift Larry and Weed are right. the most popular one that you will find around here is the PA kit.

Just a heads-up, some guys have had problems with a vibration when using 4 Whl. after installing the leveling spacers.

Usually with guys who use spacers over 2", it's rarely an issue if you stay with 1 1/2" or 2" spacers...

And get a Zone body lift. It's quite a bit beefier for the 06-08 rams.

Zone didn't exist when I put the last of the three body lifts I've installed on my trucks over the years, so I can't comment on it. Nobody I know has had both a PA and a Zone at one time or another, so it's hard to get a real comparison.

I have had three PA's, installed all three myself (usually with somebody to help) and they are solid, fairly easy install BUT very time intensive. It's like a whole lot of little individual tasks.

In looking at the components, they seem to be very similar in terms of materials. I know Zone puts a blurb in all their ads about the strength of their kits, but I was A LOT younger when I had body lifted trucks and rode them pretty hard with the PA kits and never had an issue. I don't think strength is a factor between these two kits, I just think the Zone is getting the reputation of being a stronger kit because they choose to tout strength in their ads.

They both have the front and rear bumper brackets standard. There are a few differences, but to me are very subtle differences. I can say first hand that the PA docs are very good, but reviews of the Zone I've read say the same thing.

I think the ONE glaring difference I see is that the Zone kit retails for about $100 less than the PA kit. Price might be the determining factor here.

Of course, if you decide to go the PA route, you can get their 5" kit, which is basically 2" spacers and 3" body lift in one box. Part number of the '06-'08 coil over front is PLS607. Would be a single vendor solution so you know who to point the finger at if you have a problem. Issue with combining lifts is if you have an issue, invariably, one company will blame the other...

I've run across a poll on another forum, 86 guys filled out the poll:

In the 1"-2" range 7 guys picked up the vibration.

In the 2"-2.5" range 15 guys got it.

So close to 10% got the wobbly vibration, thought it was worth a mention. Not everyone knows this problem even exists.

The zone bumper brackets are better, which is about the only difference.
