ok so i have a dakota and i dont know how much different the mounting for the bumpers are but i just did my 3" BL and i didnt have to even move the front bumper. i just left it in the stock location. theres a little gap but i just ordered the filler piece for that. and we just did mine in 6 hours. but having air tools and a lift makes life so much nicer. the hardest part was lifting the cap with out braking anything! along the way

I haven't done a 3rd Gen, so these guys can tell you better but I had to do a good bit of fab'ing on my 2nd Gen. That's why I say the suspension kit is a good bit easier, it's all remove/replace.

When I say fab'ing, I'm just talking measuring, cutting and drilling. It's not bad, not like you need to break out a plasma cutter and a welder by any means...

It's a lot of time-consuming work. None of it's hard though. When I say "hard", let me define it. Putting a Rubicon Express long arm kit on a Jeep is hard. There are lots of holes to drill that require going through the frame all the way. The hole on one side has to be perfectly aligned with the other. That's hard to get perfect, and if you don't get it right, you had better be a talented fabricatior to make it right.
There's nothing hard about putting a body lift on a Dodge truck. There are a lot of simple steps though. A first timer will take a day and a half, stopping to look at the directions, trying three different tools before finding the one that works on each step, etc. Expereinced techs who do these kits on a regular basis can do a 3" body lift on a 3rd gen Dodge in about 5 hours.

Thanks hammer and crawler. I think I may be able to tackle it. In a long weekend. Just read instructions and go by step by step.

I had to major issues when I did mine. However, I didnt need to take loose my batter grounds because they were already long enough. I didnt cut my rad shroud because I already had an e-fan. I didnt use the e-brake bracket nor the fuel filler extension. I didnt take loose the ground strap from the back of the cab to the bed
