Default Possible Transmission Problems

Recently truck has been stuck in limp mode and keeps blowing interior light fuse. The dealership told me that the TIPM was not powering the transmission circuits and the TIPM needed to be replaced. So today after spending $1000.00 on TIPM replacement, the dealership said I need to replace the selanoid pack and it was going to cost an additional $700. They replaced the TIPM and the truck is still in limp mode with engine light on. Any ideas or reccomendations and is replacing a selanoid pack a do it yourself job? Thanks for replys.

You can do it yourself, the solenoids are avail on eBay. Drop the pan, valve body, change solenoid, replace valve body, install new filters, pan fill done.

Easy afternoon job. You can save lots of money, about half.

I would be raising holy hell if I spent 1000 on a part and labor that they misdiagnosed. They sold you parts you did not need.

I would also raise crap about the poor diagnostic, they can re-install your part in about 15 minutes and then change the appropriate part to remedy the issues.
