red scotch brite until no more shine (I did about 30min/side) degreaser, alcohol, and thinner, and then adhesion promoter, filler primer, base, clear. I think your best bet is to go to your local auto paint store and ask them to mix you a clear and a base in two spray cans

Sounds good and would look good but a new grill might be easier.

clean it and do a couple coats of Plasti-Dip. It will stick to chrome without having to scuff it all to sh*t. Then if you don't like it, you can slit it with a knife and peel it off, leaving the chrome looking like it did before...

hanks for the input guys, appreciate it, weedahoe- im not sure what a new grills worth havent priced it out... i LOVE the RBP grills but there crazy money, im sure i can get a good deal on a new one through the local dealership being that i work at a shop and i can get it for cost but i also want to my truck look different from most, blacking out headlights are also on my list with a black cowl induction hood so the blacked out grill will go nicley with the other things i am going to do! it all takes time and money! slowly but surely i will get the truck looking the way i want it to, and then im sure i will find more things i want to do to it!

well you are in luck. Wait about two weeks and you will see a cheaper alternative to the RBP grill on a few trucks aroudn this forum.
