Apps for Droid for tuning
Yes, it cost $350.00 for the Linq bluetooth system, but the app is free on the droid market. I think its cool cause you can use your phone to moniter your setting, including trans temp. You can download it right now and put it in demo mode and see what its about.
I have the VIVID app on my phone already. I called and talked to SC, and they told me the reason my 3865 does not show transmission temps is because it is not supported, and will also not show up on the VIVID either. The trans temperature is only read from certain Jeep Wranglers according to the tech I spoke with. I was very disappointed by this, as I know the AF gauge reads the trans temp from the CANBUS, so I figured the SC would too. I don't really want to install the A-pillar gauge just to get my transmission temperatures. A bit too costly for the outcome.
Hey guys, is there any chance somebody could scan their Vivid Linq with their bluetooth enabled laptop? What is the device name and service it's running? I have a USB ODB2 interface for error dumping. I was wondering if I could trick the app on the phone to connect to the laptop and consequently connect through that USB interface to the truck.
From my understanding Linq is simply I/O controller over bluetooth which is worth $30-40 at the most. If everything works I will post the solution for a cheap performance chip
