Where did you mount yours? I put mine on the back of the bed and moved it as low as I could (just above the hole for the spare tire tool) and you can hardly see it from behind the truck because the bottom of the tail gate covers it up partially. Is there a better place to mount it?

I put mine right there as well and i only covered up half....plus my spare is a little useless....at this point.

I've gone through about 4 different brands on these bars and I beg you, just get recon and be done with it. I had plasma glow for about a half a year and then it fell apart. Spend the extra money and go for recon.

I bought one from Oreilys auto parts and it has been holding up great. Brand was Anzo.

Almost every friend of mine with a kid in the 16-19 year old range has one of these, the only brand that seems to hold up on a regular basis for these kids is the Recon from what I'm seeing. Can't tell you from personal experience though, I'm 44 and outgrew stuff like that prolly before you were born, LOL...
