Default Ordered SC 3865, quick question...

Ordered my Superchips 3865 today for my 07 QC Hemi. It should be here tomorrow. Since I still have a good bit of 89 octane still in the tank, I won't be able to use the 91 setting yet. What's best to start with to see some diffferences? The MDS is getting turned off right away..

If you've got 93 octane in your area and have less than half a tank, just fill it with the 93 and go with the Performance setting.

Once you get used to it, I'd suggest opting for the tranny tuning option and tweak it, even if you just cut out most of the torque management at first and go from there...

Hammer, how do you purchase the trans tuning? I've got the Cortex, but same difference right?

Ran home at lunch and picked up my tuner that FedEx delivered, on the way back add 93 octane gas to my tank. Tuner is updated from the Superchips site, maybe I'll sit in the parking lot after work and download the Performance tune to try it on the way home.

Yeah, the only difference is once you download the tranny tunes, the engine warranty that the Cortex comes with becomes void. Which really isn't surprising since it's end user custom tuning. You could get stupid and blow up the thing.

Where were you when they offered all Hemi owners the free Coupon?

It's $39.95 or at least was last I saw the price, on the Superchips website...

The Performace 91 tune and MDS disable does make a difference. Gotta watch at stop signs then make a turn, it will chirp the tires. Seems like the truck runs smoother.

How on earth did I miss that?? I'd like to get into the trans tuning after a little more research maybe. Doesn't look difficult to do, just time-consuming. Maybe the new Vivid will help change that
