Default Need help on picking which HID's for my truck.

I have an 04 ram 1500 and I want to put the HID lights on my truck. I came across this site that had what im looking for but dont know if I just need to replace the bulbs or buy the whole kit? Heres the link to the page: <a target=_new href="/visit.asp?http://www.carid.com/2004-dodge-ram-pick-up-xenon-hid/">http://www.carid.com/...</a> Can I just buy the factory HID replacement bulbs or do I have to buy the complete HID conversion kit? Im wanting the HID 15000k bulbs.

You'll need the entire kit. HID's require ballasts to function, they're not a plug and play bulb like the halogens are.

And if you want my opinion, don't get 15k HIDs. The light output will be ****, and they'll just look downright stupid.

Hey,

I actually have an 04 that i put HID's in, i went with HID Extra for both the foglights and the headlights and went with the 8000k and i believe they are 9007 but i went with the hid low beam and halogen high beam. Your going to need resistors to stop them from flickering,

another link to check is https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...k-in-here.html

there is alot of good information in this thread about how to get them to work, I am happy with mine from HID Extra, only had to get one replacement bulb and ballast but it was free, and they are reasonable as far as price.
hope that helps.
