Exclamation 5.9 Magnum or 5.7 Hemi in an '04?

I got an '04 quad cab with the 4.7 Magnum and I'm pretty sure its startin to take a **** on me. I need some help trying to figure out which engine to swap in. I love the Hemi but I already have the 4.7. Could I even swap in the 5.9 or would I HAVE to put in the 5.7? If I could put imn the 5.9 would bolt to the 4.7's stock trans or would I have to swap that out too? Someone please help me......

You'd pretty much have to be able to get the engine, PCM, Transmission, motor mounts, etc. for a 4.7 to 5.9 swap. About the only way to do it would be to have a donor truck with all good components...

I had the 5.9 for awhile in my 02 and loved it until I got my 5.7. I really could deal with either engine, the 5.9 seemed to have that "long lasting effect" on it.

Get a Hemi Motor and computer and bolt it to your transmission, then tie in the wires. The 4.7 Transmission won't bolt to any other motor than a Hemi or 4.7..
Plus , the gauges Power distribution system wiring harness and ASD, on the 4.7 liter truck will match up a lot better with a Hemi..If you Go with a 360 you'll probably have to change more things to make it work "Including the transmission for sure"..
