New 1500 Owner questions HID, Audio etc.
Thanks I think I am going to order from hid extra.
I re-read a bunch of your thread and just want to make sure I understood everything correctly in that since i am not 06+, i can use a relay harness and if i dont mind the lamp out light on the dash i dont need resistors? This is based on what I read, no where specifically do you say that....

Xenons are hid low and halogen high. The halogen high is not bright nor designed to be. Bi-xenons are hid low and hid high. The high is not more "bright" as all it does it the bulbs is tilted up to raise the beam. HID light by itself is plenty bright
I actually did just that. As weedahoe originally recommended, I purchased a bi-xenon kit today from hidsupport.com/hidextra.com
I asked them to include the relay harness as recommended. I let them know i was referred from weedahoe at dodgeforum.comThe $15 offer doesnt work anymore but 10% does and I got $9 off, they have great support and RMA/warranty process so I was happy to go with hidexperts over ebay sellers.
ok so i got my kit from hidexperts, i am still finishing installing my power window kit and new speakers but took a quick peak under the hood to plan the installation and the passenger side looks no problem but holy **** what were they thinking on the drivers side? it appears i need to remove the relay center??? i hate removing/moving major electrical components like that especially for something simple so i am hopign there is another way.
also, any suggestions of where the best place to tap into a 15amp or higher accessory/b+ for the power window kit? I am considering runnign to the battery, but then they will always be on. the kit does have a 15amp blade fuse inline, i was going to try to tap off the iginition harness or somewhere near the fuse box, but am open to suggestions. (will be using the same source for my new auto dimming mirror, and power door lock kit too if possible)
thanks again.

You do not need to remove the PDC. I have never removed any when doing installs. I always route my wires normally behind the D/S head light, behind the battery box and to the (+) post. It is normal to have to extend the (+) on the HID harness.
As for the power to the window kit, I would either probe for 12v in an empty slot in the PDC or tap an ignition wire.

Wait so your saying I dont need to move the relay box (i assume that is the PDC) or take out the entire head lamp? Atleast on my v6 - 3.7L that looks physically impossible from the top.
I was thinking of just taking the lamp out but was worried that might mess up the aiming.

As far as probing for an empty spot on the PDC, i will do that, i assume that is the same one reffered to above that is under the hood? (power distribution center i am assuming)
I was thinking of giving one of those add a fuse tap things a try, working as audio installer i would never ever think of using a fuse tap for the life of me but at these new ones i have seen seem pretty nice compared to the crappy old metal blade ones.
With all the **** i plan on adding i should add one of those marine distribution panels mentioned in the diy section, i might see if i can find one cheap at the marina i work for.
Oh BTW, i am installing a gentex auto dimming mirror also, it needs ground, acc, b+ and positive trigger for the reverse lights (when the reverse lights are on, it disables the auto dim allowing for better backing up vision in the mirror)
I was going to try to get some thin wire with 4 strands in side (i figure its all low voltage enough to be safe in a thin 4 wire - cable.)
getting ground, 12v and acc shouldnt be too hard, but any idea where i might be able to pick up the backup light signal? I was thinking the service manual 8W section, but if someone already knew the location and color it might save me alot of searching and probing.
thanks again

Weed...That is what has stopped me short of picking up some HIDs for mine too...In the trouble-shoot thread it stated that all 2002+ Have CANBUS but if I understand you correctly, that was only 06+?
