This might sound like a stupid question but what are the running boards and fender flares on my truck? I'll try to post a better picture later.

I'm pretty sure the kit was an option from Dodge. Is it called the Laramie package? I've been trying to find out the value of the kit and can't find it anywhere.

 

Just looks like a ground effects kit to me. But I'm sure others will know more.

 

Iirc those boards were part of the sport package too. You should be able to find them at your dealer.

 

I'll give a dealer a call to see what they say. Do you think taking this package off and adding nerfs with fender flares would decrease the value at all?

 

I'm thinking the fiberglass kit on your truck is likely more desired by town-folk or highway cruisers. Nerf bars and fender flares tend to be more 'truckish' imho.

Depending on the buyer I guess. Those flairs/boards are desirable by a crowd, whether thats the group that wants to buy your truck or not, I'm not sure.

I personally would not buy a truck with FB boards.. I like no bars or Stainless only.
