What is the part# for the Magnaflow y? I just recently installed a Magnaflow muffler almost identical to yours and I am really considering cutting out the factory y and replacing it with a Magnaflow y like yours.

I didn't cut out the cats, they are forward of the Y-pipe. I don't know the part number for the Y-pipe but here is where I got mine. http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...A2680A0A0.aspx I used the 2.5" inlets and 3" outlet.

Yes, I have one cat on each head pipe, then the Y-pipe, then muffler, and resonator. I planned to remove the resonator but after driving it for a couple of weeks the muffler has broken in a little and the sound is right where I wanted it.

I just had the Magnaflow #11259 installed on my truck a couple of weeks ago and I agree with you in regards to the resonator. I too left mine on until I was sure the muffler alone would be the sound I was looking for. I am glad I left the resonator on because I absolutely love the sound I have now. As far as the y, raplacing it with the Magnaflow y will just improve the exhaust flow and not affect the sound, right?

Yeah, I don't think there will be much sound difference with the Magnaflow Y-pipe, but once you cut out the stock Y you will see how much of an improvement flow with the Magnaflow Y is. The stock one is really choked down where the two pipes go together.

is there any difference now when u take off with ur truck ? coz by putting the mag Y pipe u will be having lower back pressure to the engine than the stock one so i think the truck will have little bit of improvement at high end only , so plz tell us what improvement u noticed and if its on low or high rpm , i want to put Y pipe on my truck but first i need to know your feedback before i order the Y pipe

I have at least as good of takeoff as before, but with better throttle response. The butt dyno says it has more low end power, but that could just be from the awesome sound when taking off. It for sure hasn't lost anything on the lower end.
