Desperately looking for hemi sport or daytona body kit for my 2005 dodge ram quad cab. have called junk yards and searched the internet endlessly and nothing. Worst of all Mopar doesnt make it anymore... please help

 

Get the ground effects kit and the Quad Cab moulded side steps from MOPAR accessories. Same thing as what came on the Daytona, Rumble Bee, HEmi Sport. Even if they are not being made through MOPAR ACcessories anymore there are plenty still available online.

 

Saw a set on chicago craigalist for 800 today.

I am not giving links as they may not be sponsers here and I don't want to break any posting rules they may have about that. Sorry.

It is very easy to find them though. Just type in genuine MOPAR accessories in a search engine and you will get plenty of options. There will be aftermarket companies selling genuine MOPAR accessories and you will also get dealer type sites. Once you go to a site enter your vehicle info and go to exterior accessories.

Remember, you need the ground effects kit( some times called the bed kit )and the moulded side steps/running boards for the Quad Cab. You will also need the front air dam if you want to add that as well. If you want to run the dual side exit exhaust setup like the Daytona that is another piece.

You pretty much need 3 kits to do the entire truck( bed kit/moulded side steps/front air dam ). 4 if you want the Daytona lower bed pice with the cutout. It won't be cheap. You will be looking at...

Ground effects/Bed kit = approx $650-$700
Optional Daytona bed piece w/ exhaust cutout = approx $75-$80
Quad Cab moulded side steps = approx $700-$800
Front air dam = approx $500-$600

Except for the optional side piece w/ exhaust cut out( primed only )the other parts can all be purchased prepainted if you can find them in your color. If not add a good chunk more to get them painted. Keep track of the part #'s as you go( some sites give the MOPAR # some don't )and try E-Bay. You might find them there for a better deal. Not always though so shop around.

hey i really appreciate it. its funny how i was all over google and couldnt find anything for weeks but as soon as i typed in genuine mopar accessories i found a ram 1500 body kit and it was only $700. So thanx again

 

Be careful and make sure of what is included so you are not disappointed when it arrives. I have seen the MOPAR sites that call it the body kit but it is only the pieces for the bed. $700 is just about the price as well per my post above. I did not find a kit that included the moulded running boards, the Daytona exhaust cut out piece, nor the front air dam for just $700. I am confident saying that is just part of the overall GFX. $2K +/- is what it costs to get it all( new ).

I hadn't seen that kit offered. It is a decent deal for what it includes for sure. However, it is NOT going to give you the Daytona and HEMI Sport look you said you wanted in your original post. It will give a Rumble Bee style look. The kit does not include everything to do the truck either. Just some of it.

I grabbed the part # off the site you gave and researched it on other MOPAR sites to find a better description. That kit includes the following...

A - Front Air Dam
B - Side Sill Accents( they are the kind used on Rumble Bee's )
C - 2 Bed Accents( I assume in front of rear wheels )

So, it includes the front air dam you need and the 2 bed accents in front of the rear wheels but you are then missing the following for a Daytona/HEMI Sport look...

A - Moulded Quad Cab Running Boards
B - 2 Bed Accents( behind rear wheels )
C - The Daytona Rear Bed Accent w/ Cutout( if you want the dual tip exhaust look )
D - Rear Valance( not wing - has a trim piece under the bumper )

So this kit will not give you the Daytona/HEMI Sport look you said you wanted. It will give you only the front air dam and 2 of the rear bed pieces. You are still missing 5 pieces to complete it. 6 with the special exhaust bed piece for a Daytona look.

You might be able to sell the side sill pieces and get money towards the running boards BUT there were no Quad Cab Rumble Bee's made that might need a repalcement piece or two so the market will be small for those pieces. You will need someone who wants to remove the running boards off their Daytona/HEMI Sport or someone who bought the rear bed 4 piece kit and wants the matching side sill pieces.

Just to show you what I mean...

Daytona/HEMI Sport: ( note the same gfx pieces - only difference is Daytona exhaust cutout )



Rumble Bee: ( this is the style side sill pieces that kit would come with )
