That is a beautiful looking system. I love the use of space under the back seat, I guess I never really thought about it since my last truck was an F-150 and the seat folded down instead of up.

congrats on the new system! Always good to have a little "Thump" in the truck. I would have to agree here on taking the sticker off the window. I came out to windows smashed all over the ground with my last ride. It was NO fun. They jacked everything in my car. Insurance covered nothing since it was all aftermarket. My .02 on an alarm is ensure that it is two way. aka your truck can communicate w/ ure remote. Alarm doesn't do as much good if you don't know it's going off.

question. Why install a cap when you have less than 1000w RMS system especially one running at 2Ohms. A 500Mf cap really doesnt store that much power Its just gonna drain after one or two bass notes then your drawing even more power form the alt trying to carge the cap and run the amps on top of normal system load. IMO anything less than 5farad really isnt worth it. my sub/am[ will drain a 3 farad within 10 seconds of hard bass its pretty much useless.

There is a huge debate about the usefullness of a cap i was on the pro side now starting to lean towards its not needed.

Im not trying to bust ***** im just wondering.

Love the system, makes me miss mine alpine deck, alpine pdx 1.1000 amp two 10 inch kickers was told 12's wouldnt fit, but in my opinion 10's are good enough. Had problems with the kickers blew the left side one 7 times haha free replacement tho. Turns out tho the problem was the prefab single port box I had looks just like yours. Cheaply made hence the good price it started to chip away from the inside and the loose debri would break my coils. So sadly my sound system is out of order till I can afford a new box and new subs think ill try out memphis subs next. Enjoy the kickers tho there awesome and if you like bass as much as me look forward to replacing the box a year or so down the road. I see you installed a cap, goid choice dont want to be driving down the road with your head lights strobing like me haha. And if I could make one suggestion to add to the awesome of which is your sound system get another amp unless your current amp can handle this upgrade the door speakers add tweaters and have the 2nd amp run it better sound helps to balance out the bass enjoy

THats going to be quite aways down the road for another amp and speakers, first truck payment starts this month and my insurance is quite a bit as well, but yeah that will happen and i have absolutely no idea how to wire tweeters into my truck, i know that i already have the pre made holes in my dash for the infinity sound system that was optional. but yup ill get some kicker 6x9's and 6 1/2's in it.

those boxes are nice and clean, BUT you are definately smothering the subs. i wouldn't pound the system for long durations or you will overheat the coils and blow the subs. (i've seen this a few times with these types of boxes).

as far as the cap goes. looks neato, but caps are nothing more than a bandaid for your poor alt. although with only 1k, you'll be fine
