Default Tire Question?

I was thinking about swapping my 20" wheels and down grading to 18" wheels to get a big tire under there!!
Whats the biggest tire that will fit under a stk 08 1500 qc hemi sport edition truck?

33? 35? If i go 18's? 275/70 285 65?

Thanks!!

35s are the biggest you can do right now with your current setup

33's are stock, so no problem. I think 35's will rub all stock. You could squeeze an off-size 34" in there though.

A good site to go to that I found was http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
I know this doesn't exactly answer the "how big you can go" but it will help to calculate what changes your speedometer will see. Stock tire size with 20 inch rims is 275/60R20 so if you go down to an 18 inch rim (I'm thinking to do the same thing) you can go up to 295/65R18 and the speed is comparable, not sure if a 295 will fit though.
